HISTORICAL SOCIETY RESEARCH LIBRARY

Mission Statement:  “To care for and maintain archival materials relating to Cedar Falls; to promote understanding of Cedar Falls and Black Hawk County families; and to provide a user-friendly environment where staff is available, by appointment, to assist with historical and genealogical research.”


The Research Library offers an exciting collection for Cedar Falls and Black Hawk County researchers.  Our collection features:

Research Assistance Request

There is no charge for up to 15 minutes of research assistance on any specific date.  Requests requiring assistance beyond this length will be charged  $10 per hour (assessed time is for staff or volunteer assistance).  Copies and postage will be invoiced upon completion of research. Copies are available for .35 per page.  You may use the form posted here.
